After exhaustive research, I believe that the photograph of Daniel Radcliff that we all swoon over is a fake. Here is why:
- Photo is in black & white. When you manipulate a photograph it is a lot easier to match skin tones if you remove the croma and revert back to black & white. All the other press photos are in color – seems odd this is the only one in black & white.
- Fog missing from background. If you look at the color original there is a heavy fog background behind the horse. It would be very difficult to match the fog line if you have replaced the bottom portion of the photo. Thus removing the fog would be a simple fix.
- Noticeable pixel pattern change below subjects waist line. If you zoom in to about 300% or greater you can identify the pixular pattern that makes up his body. There is a noticeable line where all the pixels line up across the body (identifying a crop line). Also above and below this crop line the body hair does not match up.
Who ever did this did a good job, and we all will still treasure the possibly the picture suggests. But alas it is a fake.
