Where do I start…

It has been so long since I have blogged. I’m not sure if I should just start with how wonderful things are now or back track to my last blog and work my way up. One thing is for sure it will be as random as ever.

Trips-

The last trip I reported was Ft. Lauderdale. I have since traveled to Dallas, TX; Chicago, IL; San Antono,TX; Fairmont, WV. This is the most I have traveled in a long time. Well actually the most I have every traveled. The last mini vacation has made a huge change in my life. More to that story under another heading lol.

I plan to take a few more weekend trips that include Fairmont, WV and back to Chicago to see my co-host Kevin who will be in my favorite city. Then I’m sure Jonathan and I will go to the Quad city to visit Ally.

Work-

There is really no change to my work world. So nothing to really talk about there. I was recently asked to help with the next training class so I’m excited about that. I enjoy actually talking to people in person rather than being bitched at over the phone.

Friends (so you think, you know who you are AD)

After years of having people treat you like shit you should be able to recognize those taking advantage of you kindness. I had a situation were a guy who started at my job befriended me. We sent IM’s and talked all day long. We had even hung out outside of work. I enjoyed hearing about his life lessons and everyday life.

Then I guess the biggest mistake of all… Going beyond the lines of friendship…we slept together. There was even talk of going on an actual date. I was feeling really good about the whole thing. I wanted to make a special dinner to spend time alone and have the chance to talk. It seemed to go well. The next day I brought leftovers and everyone went crazy over the dish I had made.

The weekend comes and goes and not a word. I have been in this gay world way to long and know the game. I have played the game. I eventually got the answer I expected in an email. I did get a small bit of hope of the friendship returning. There is no sign of that now. I get an email now and then. Oh well. As you can tell this still bothers me a little. I feel like I wasted my time even being this persons friend. He is young , but he plays the gay game better than most. Good luck to him, he should do fine.

Love (Jonathan)

I smile as I type this part of the blog. I started talking to Jonathan on gay.com in February when he moved to Cincinnati. I have never lived anywhere else other than the tri-state area and enjoy talking to those who have lived elsewhere and has moved here.

I would do random checks on the new guy to see how things were going . I learned alot about Jonathan during these chats. If you read his current blog (click on his name in the title) and he sheds light on what he was going through at the time. His strength inspires me everyday.

This brings me to the trip to WV. The birth place of the soon to be world famous photographer Jonathan I Raines.  I decided to take a road trip with the “new guy” and travel to his home town.  What a great and crazy way to get to know someone you have only met once, but it happened and now I have never been happier!!

We have had a month of ups and downs, but through it all being honest and sharing everything has made this an amazing experience.  We are so honest with each other and look after one another every time any decision is made. I see Jonathan in my life for a long time to come.

Date #2 has been found/Jason is in the Nati :)

I finally heard from Date #2 Paul in the form of an email. He sent me a note telling me he felt there was not enough of a connection to go on dating any further and apologized for not calling before. He did not want to hurt my feeling.

Well Paul it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out when you do not hear from someone for over a week and a half that either 1. There were injured or dead. 2. It is a gay sign that they no longer want to date you. I myself have been guilty of doing it. Last summer I was dating a 19 year old and when it got uncomfortable I did not return any of his calls. He never got any closure. I feel really guilty about it and times like these make me realize how being treated like that feels.

Things happen for a reason and life will go on !!

Now to better news…. Jason one of my fab co-host of the ever so popular Jive Talk’n (which took last week off, but will be back this week) is now just across the pond in Cincinnati. I was able to see him for about an hour on Tuesday and look forward to being able to hang out with both him and Matt.

Where is Date #2

 So I’m bitter…Big surprise.  I was looking forward to a great weekend, and what I got were unanswered phone calls.  He was suppose to come back Friday and we had planned to go to dinner and pretty much spend the weekend together. 

 I have no idea what happened.  The weird part is my reactions are not the same as they were in the past.  Is that good or bad?  It feels I have lost hope in finding that special someone.  I have come so close so many times, and the same result.  I’m ok this time.  Last time something like this happened I was a mess, but it is different now.

Blades of Glory/ The Date Returns

So tonight my Brunch friends Gary, Rob, and I went to see Blades of Glory. I just wanted movie theater popcorn. I’m not a big movie person. This movie was one of those great MTV movies where you can seat back and forgot about life and not have to put alot of thought into it. It was funny. If your bored go see it. I’m sure there are other movies out there that may deem more attention.

Well tomorrow night I will get to see Date #2. I will refer to him that way until I get permission to use his real name. I think I did bring it up on a podcast. That is not the point of this post. He comes back and I’m really looking orward to seeing him. I hope sometime soon to post a picture of us

I’m working on a slide show of the benefit I put on a month ago. I’ll make my co-host Jason work his picture magic. He will be in town in less than a week. I look forward to seeing him.

Harry Potter– OH MY

New Computer

Hey Bloggers…I have a new laptop and hope to blog more.  I love this thing!!!  I do not have to worry about the computer shutting down if I have more than one program up.    I’m currently sitting next to some drunk.  She is fighting with her friend on the phone.  I get to sit here and listen to American Idol, and the girl fight.  I love wifi!!!

I’m looking forward to the podcast tonight.  I hope we have more to talk about than last time.  We might all be talking about the mac attack we all have.  We might even have to change the title of the show.  Just kidding.
